Granite Tech Imports has been in business since 2011 when Aparecido “Cido” Padovan decided to break away and solely open up his own company. He has been in the granite business since 2000. Cido has been working in construction since he was in his early teens back home in Brazil and kept working in the field when he moved to the United States in the late 1980’s. He initially got started in the granite field in 2000 when his close family friend invited him to be his business partner in the stone industry. He first stated primarily with residential clients and gaining business that way. When the market crashed, he switched his focus to commercial work. By changing his focus, he has been flourishing with the major construction companies doing multi unit housing throughout the metro area. Cido has gained connections throughout Europe, Asia, and South America, which have tremendously helped our importing process that gives us the ability to offer such low prices to our customers.
Becky, who is the office manager, started working in the granite business in 2003. She didn’t have any background in the construction or granite field until working for Cido. They have been business partners for over 13 years now. She successfully runs the office and shop, while Cido handles the measuring and business meetings. When you visit the shop, Becky will help you walk around outside and view the various slab selections.
